All the people are entitled to a decent way of life.  This is the most demanding goal of all.  We have made a good start on our journey; but we have still a long way to go. The conquest of poverty is as difficult if not more difficult than the conquest of outer space. And we can expect moments of frustration and disappointment. But we have no doubt about the outcome. For all history shows that the effort to win progress represents the most determined and steadfast aspirations of man. Our problems are man-made, therefore they may be solved by man. For in the final analysis, our most basic ocommon link is that we all inhabit this small planet, we all breathe the same air, we all cherifsh our children’s futures, and we are all mortal.
